- Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering

Food Science Courses - Level 2 Award in Food Safety in CateringEquivalent to the current Foundation or ‘Basic’ level this course will provide candidates with a good understanding and knowledge of food safety as if relates to the catering and hospitality sector.  The qualification provides an introduction to food safety and focuses on eight key areas including - the law, food safety hazards, refrigeration, cooking, hot / cold holding of foods, food handling, safe storage and cleaning.

Duration – 1 day (minimum 6 hours teaching time)

Assessment method – 30 multiple choice questions
