Recent national news has highlighted the fact that 9/10 new mothers lacked the first aid skills needed to aid their baby in various emergencies. Situations where just a small amount of first aid knowledge could potentially save your child's life.
This course is aimed at anyone who will come into contact with children in any environment. It is ideal for new mothers and parents in general and will give them the knowledge of lifesaving skills recognised by the health & safety executive.

The course includes:

First Aid - First Aid For Childcare Course

  • Principles of first aid
  • Respiration & Asphyxia (inc choking)
  • Resuscitation
  • Recovery Position
  • Record keeping & Accident Reporting
  • Burns & Scalds
  • Wounds & Bleeding
  • Unconsciousness
  • Fractures
  • Eye injuries


  • The tutor continually assesses the course and the competent students will receive an attendance certificate.

    The 2-Day Paediatric Course lasts for 12 hrs and is in line with the SureStart and NCMA guidelines.
